Compare the Esse Headrest and Plush Comfort Kit on support, adjustability, and restraint. See which one fits your setup and when to choose the other.
Quick answer
Choose the Esse Headrest if you want extra height and reclining support that matches your Esse lounger; choose the Plush Comfort Kit if you want a complete wrist-and-blindfold restraint set with adjustable cuffs and a tether.
Support vs. restraint: two different jobs
The Esse Headrest is a positioning accessory: it adds 5 1/2 inches of height for reclining pleasure and is available in Esse and Esse Slim fabric options to match your lounger. The Plush Comfort Kit is a restraint set: wrist cuffs with adjustable Velcro, a blindfold with a satin nose bridge and adjustable headband, a cuff connector, and a 42-inch tether. They solve different problems, so the right pick depends on whether you need body support or restrained play.
When adjustability matters more than height
The Plush Comfort Kit offers adjustable Velcro cuffs and an adjustable blindfold headband, letting you tailor the fit to different wrists and head sizes. The Esse Headrest has no adjustable components—its benefit is fixed extra height and a color/fabric match to your Esse furniture. If you need a custom fit for restraint, the kit is the more flexible choice; if you need consistent elevation, the headrest is simpler.
Matching your existing furniture
The Esse Headrest is designed to coordinate with Esse and Esse Slim loungers in all color and fabric options, so it blends into an existing setup. The Plush Comfort Kit is a standalone accessory that does not depend on a specific furniture piece. Consider whether you want an add-on that integrates with your current furniture or a self-contained kit you can use anywhere.
The trade-off: one-purpose vs. multi-piece
The Esse Headrest does one thing well: it adds height for reclining. The Plush Comfort Kit includes multiple pieces (cuffs, blindfold, connector, tether) for restraint play, but none of them provide body support. Neither product replaces the other, and neither is a full positioning system on its own. Your choice should reflect whether your priority is comfort support or restrained exploration.
Key trade-offs to weigh
- Support vs. restraint: The Esse Headrest provides height and reclining support; the Plush Comfort Kit provides wrist and blindfold restraint. Decide which function you need most.
- Adjustability: The Plush Comfort Kit has adjustable Velcro cuffs and an adjustable blindfold headband; the Esse Headrest has no adjustable parts. If fit customization is important, the kit is the clear choice.
- Furniture integration: The Esse Headrest matches Esse and Esse Slim fabrics and colors; the Plush Comfort Kit is freestanding and does not depend on furniture. Choose the headrest if you want a seamless add-on to your Esse lounger.
- Number of pieces: The Plush Comfort Kit includes four components (cuffs, blindfold, connector, tether); the Esse Headrest is a single piece. More pieces mean more setup and storage; a single piece is simpler to keep track of.
